[Bazir]

''I am glad you enjoy it, sayyed, for it it an old family tradition.''

He glanced back to the elders at their game to see if they needed something before comming back to the Ide

''Usually when someone ventures away from home they learn about the new lands they are about to discover. Did no one tell you what to expect?''

[Ide Rettousei]

Rettousei takes a swallow of coffee. It's mostly gone, now.

"I was told little," he says. "I was told I'd figure it out along the way."

[Bazir]

''You are the dream prey of the jewel's scam artist sayyed. You really should get an honest and knowledgeable guide quite soon''

[Ide Rettousei]

"But I'm not looking at buying any jewelry," Rettousei replies in his accented Mekhem. "I mean, I'd of course want to confer with a jeweler if I did."

He eats more of the fattoush--awkwardly still, but less so than before.

[Bazir]

He shook his head, resigned

''No sayyed. The Jewel is the nickname of this city...and there are many who would use your ignorance against you!''

[Ide Rettousei]

Rettousei stops chewing the fattoush, swallows.

"Ohhhh. I get it now."

He nods vigorously.

"I'll try to look for a guide today, then!"

[Bazir]

''You have acquaintances in the city I presume?'' he asked ''I am sure someone who has been in the city for a while can introduce you to a good one.''

[Ide Rettousei]

"I've run into a few people, yeah," Rettousei says.

Is this going to be like that time with the geisha house? he thinks. With "introduce you to a good one," it might be.

I probably shouldn't ask about that.

[Bazir]

''Well good.''

Nothing more to do here, I guess

''Enjoy your meal sayyed, ring a waiter if you need anything else'' he said finally as he stood up

[Ide Rettousei]

Rettousei rises and bows.

"Thank you, truly. This has been wonderful!"
