What's up with plumbing the sewers?

1. Not really. I went well above my recent average in terms of written backstory, so I had Aydi fleshed out pretty comprehensively, and there was always some angle I could try, some initial anxiety on D1 notwithstanding. It also made it easier for the game not to force my hand because I made an 'open' concept rather than my usual introverted turtling that gets me few interactions. Aydi had enough on his plate for me not to be frustrated that some possibilities are not pursued, but this is also thanks to wonderful players who chose to roll with the 'detective' vibe and gave me some benefit of a doubt. Given it's a continuity character by game design, I am happy to look into roads not taken in next instalments. Not being in the main event was a bugger but this is a sacrifice I made on character design. I *think* I foresaw how this format would roll out just enough to hit no major roadblocks.

Meant to note, the dog/boy with the same name/confused dad setup had the potential to just be disturbingly sad in a parents slipping into dementia way. Instead it walked this tragicomic/mystery edge that worked well.
