The competition is over, but Rufus remains.

The task isn't done.

He had come to survey the city, and now he had ensconced himself: a feature, but not featured. It was a perfect place to be in to finally take stock of the city defenses.

Plus, there was one fringe benefit of the situation, he'd decided. He couldn't keep a smile from crossing his face.

Kezia knew he was out there, of course.

It was why she'd made sure to wear the extra sexy getup instead of the normally sexy getup. She'd also accented, rather than masked, the scrape the khadi's arrow had left on her cheek, calculating that a little hint of danger never failed to quicken pulses- and she also knew, from bitter experience, that plenty int eh city liked their Ra'Shari women roughed up a little bit.

But joke's on them, because this... is fun.

As the three musicians she'd brought along for the night started up, she went into her dance... which probably tightened more than one set of trousers while also being a simply remarkable display of athleticism.

The tournament was over but life continued in the city. Still in the last few days Bazir had met an auspicious of new people from various walks of life. He was no sahir but he was wise enough to recognize when fates converged. So a small party for friends and friends of friends seemed appropriate.




And, of course, coffee and food for all.

Rufus can't hide a smile in his own and swipes a bit of bread and hummus into his mouth.

Kezia was really bringing it tonight, even more than the first time they had met.

Still, it has hard to avoid enjoying the moment. Especially when she looked that good.

"Are you taking partners or are you still working?" He asks as she sashays nearby

"Still on duty, but as it happens..."

She leaned in close, and traced her fingertips across his cheek- mostly for effect.

"... there's always later."

She twirled away then to bestow similar direct attention on another patron.

Besides, our best dances are the private ones.

Rufus only smiles and sucks his fingers clean in response

"Damn, but she is good"

He looks around to see if Bazir is at hand
