A Princess' Plight (EM, Off the Thoroughfare, Closed)

She couldn't reach the princess, but maybe she could do something else... make them give up. The Ra'shari darts through, crying out "let go of her and flee, the guard have the area surrounded!"

Hopefully it would startle the thugs enough to run.

And if that doesn't work...

Kezia gave a sunny smile as she drew her knife and closed in from the other side, moving to flank the tough with their hands on her new Dahabi friend.

The lead thug drags Soraya backwards and both disappear down the sewer opening.

The one on Joab kisses the large man on the forehead, "Next time sweetheart." Letting him go they flee back towards the sewer opening though come a little short of getting into it.

(Release grapple simple, move simple, switch to Defense stance, TN shifts from 5 to 20)

Joab growls as he clambers to his feet and draws his knife. Advancing towards the sewer opening.

"You won't get away with this!"

(TN back to 20)

The one in the gutter shoves himself to his feet and breaks off running deeper into the Thoroughfare.

(Sneak 3 escapes if no one pursues. Sneak 1 is out of sight but still within movement distance, Sneak 2 is at the sewer opening but still in sight)

Sora kicks but is dragged off. She sees the two Ra'Shari women... had they been following her then?

She brightens up a moment and calls out to them, "Oh! Hello Raya, hello Kezia!! I'm being kidnapped!"

Being dragged down the opening her top momentarily caught on the ledge, and a set of impressive chest-melons were in view for a brief moment before she disappeared down the hole with a squeak.

(Jumping down requires either a simple action or a roll of Athletics/Agility vs TN15 to drop down while moving. If this roll is attempted and failed the character falls prone to the bottom - thankfully the short distance and accumulated muck and debris keeps this from causing injury to anything but pride)

Aydi glares at the thug escaping into the marketplace but he had come here to keep Soraya safe and if that meant letting that one get away so be it.

He doesn't hesitate as he jumps down into the sewers his knife already drawn. Bearing the struggling Dahabi had slowed the assailant down and she was still within range as he landed. His blade cuts across her back as he kicks at her leg hoping to keep her from fleeing further.

Already overburdened by the Soraya's kicking and squirming the thug goes down with a curse. Blood wells up from the slice in her rags.



(Ignore the note about disarm, was thinking it was 2 raises not 3. Aydi could not call three raises so replacing with Knockdown.

Soraya falls with the thug; The darkness and smell and panic give her some adrenaline, but it's really not enough.

Raya without heistation went for the whole, doing a frontflip as she did so. She rolled through the jump and slashed at the man holding the princess as she did so.

Kezia's knife was already out and, while she was tempted to take down the lingering bandit, the princess came first.

The lithe dancer dove headfirst through the hole, tucking and rolling as she land to come up on her feet and plunging her knife down into the one holding Soraya.

The knife slams hard into her but appears to miss anything truly vital though the pool of blood continues to grow....
