While they recognize their kinship with the followers of Shinjo and are, generally, on good terms anyone mistaking the tribe of Moto with Rokugani is likely in for an unfortunate surprise. Fierce nomadic raiders the Moto travel between various secret oasis encampments while preying on caravans traveling to and from Medinaat al-Salaam. As such the Moto are often viewed negatively and with suspicion. Between this and their nomadic nature there are few Moto within Medinaat al-Salaam at any one time. Those entering the city often do pretend to be Unicorn as it is not uncommon for the Dahabi to have bounties on the heads of raiders after any recent attacks on their caravans.

Theology: While the Moto recognize the divinity of Shinjo their beliefs are a syncretism of her teachings, their original tribal followings, and the greater beliefs of the Sands.

Factions: Any. The majority of aligned Moto are members of the Qolat but with their long history in the Sands there have been rare instances of their people among all of the factions.
