As the stealthy Ra'Shari slowly closed on her prey another stealthy beast did the same.

An explosion of water is all the warning Al-Haddar has before a rotting reptilian form has clamped teeth into his leg and seeks to draw him back into the water.

That. That was what he had feared. His face was hidden in the shadows and behind the keffiyeh, but any of those in the group that could see him would see the flinching reflected on his eyes. Hopefully Al-Haddar would at least avoid being pulled under...

He had been wondering what the best course of action would be. There and then, he knew it.

He'd had to focus to do it, though. Slowly looking around, he waited a bit more before showing himself...

Seeing his pets having much better luck than he was, the necromancer sunk back into the muck to nurse his wounds and vanishes from sight.

Though she had no reason to care for the man in its grasp Jadzia was simply happy to have something in range to test her might. With a roar she charges towards the reptilian horror her long arms lashing it even from the edge.

She snarls as slimy skin rips beneath her hands but to seemingly little concern of the beast.

Faruq's eyes, the only part of his face easily visible, locked in on the unholy reptile holding the man from the maze on its jaws. His eyes go blank for a moment as he pictures the seal on his mind. Unlike some days back, he can see it clearly now. His face shows the clear signs of effort - any knowledgeable about such things would notice this was not a simple manipulation he was attempting. With his focus, however, it is done quickly - although in the heat of th emoment he is unable to disguise his gestures and hide words under his breath as he had initially hoped to.

At a moment like this, though? It didn't matter. The others would know he was more than a simple healer. But keeping life safe was a healer's essence, even if that was done by other means, right? And pushing back against this madness... it was clearly more important than secrecy at this time.

With the manipulation done, it was clear who had done it, although its effects are not immediate. He kept his eyes on the crocodile, determination burning in them, almost if challenging the creature. It wouldn't keep its unnatural life. It wouldn't keep threatening the city's people.

The dead crocodile held strongly to its faux survival, however - much more strongly than he'd expected. The effects of the seal still revealed themselves then, however - eerie rays of light flashed from inside the creature, creating cracks on its scaly skin.

Faruq's frustration is visible, but it was something at least...

The solid impact she made with the Necromancer was satisfying but short-lived as Nihira watched the Jackghul approach her quickly. She shut her eyes and turned her body, fully expecting to feel something but was surprised to be unharmed. Instinctively she back pedaled and got her sling back into motion. There would be no warning shots down here in the sewers as she took aim at that Jackghul's center mass.

Bazir took note of the situation as much as he could, pushing the fear away from his thoughts. From his perspective he could see a few things of interest.

Two of them being the ghul abominations

The canina one was getting dealt with while the crocodile was trying to nibble...Al-Haddar? Well...better to focus on one target.

He loaded a lead pellet in his sling andmoved to get a shot at the undead canine

Disliking the undead reptile (amphibian? fish? mammal?), Qara summoned another chunk of stone onto the head of the swimming ghul.

It seemed highly effective.

Meanwhile, her Jinn looked around among the gathered representativies of humanity, and decided that the medic was their best bet.
