[Rufus Belgica]

Claudia looks over, squinting against the sun at Rufus.
"Ave! Yes, I am a citizen. I am Claudia Gabinus, hail and well met."
She gives him a look over. "How do you serve? The scouts?"

She turns and gestures between Rufus and Qara.
"This is Qwara Al-Harzard. She is a very talented healer and magician from far to the east."

" Something like that. I also had Grekoi training, so I'm here to learn about their engineering

Rufus looks over at the other woman. "Magic? Such a wonder! I've had the fortune to experience magical healing and it certainly beats the long way. "

[Claudia Gabinus]

She nods. "Ah, then we are both here to learn"
Dropping back into a common tongue "You have?"
Excitedly. "Did you report this to command? If not I would appreciate a full description of what occurred and how. Was it from a Rokugani?"

[Qara al-Hazaad]

Qara just smirked at the two as they discussed things. "Ah well, it can certainly help in some cases."

[Rufus Belgica]

"Not Rokugani. I think? What's Rokugani?" Rufus seems to think on it. "You mean the ones with the horses?"

He waves it off. "But it was someone local. They had healers for the part of the archery competition where...well, where they were shooting arrows at us."

[Claudia Gabinus]

Claudia blinks and slowly eats a date, looking between the other two.

"This seems unusual, usually for archery one shoots..away? At a target mostly. Why would someone be shooting at the participants?"
Was that why healing was so advanced here? Arrow based wounds?

[Rufus Belgica]

Rufus offers a bemused chuckle. "It was the final part of the challenge. The first was hitting stationary targets. The second, firing from the back of an animal. The third...the third was to see who could stand and fight against the noblewoman who held the competition to begin with."

The Yodotai pauses. "She won. Against all comers."
