Home to the Qabal for centuries the Great University of Medinaat al-Salaam was one of the greatest centers of learning in the known world. Incredible advances in both science and magic were birthed regularly within its walls.

It took one night for all that to change.

In response to the Qabal's attempted uprising the full wrath of the Immortal Caliph's magic set upon the structure rending it nearly stone for stone in a mighty conflagration. Countless lives were lost and centuries of knowledge eradicated in a matter of hours.

In the almost three hundred years since not only has the Caliph not allowed the university to be rebuilt but nor has she allowed its ruins to be removed. Shattered, and many say haunted, its rubble remains to this day as a testament to the fates of those who are so foolish as to dare defy the Immortal Caliph.
