Cost of Living and Housing

Characters are assumed to do enough work offscreen to maintain a basic cost of living for their lifestyle and can assume that they have basic food, water, and shelter without spending from character funds. Expenditures above and beyond that (taking a merchant out to a fancy dinner to impress them, for example) would require using character funds.
Example standards of living (these are not hard and fast rules, just rough examples):
City Influence + Wealth
0 - The streets or the sewers, maybe a cot in whatever flophouse has space if you're lucky.
1 - Multifamily shared living in a decent neighborhood, private housing (shack or other hovel) in a rough one
2 - Generational shared living in a wealthy neighborhood, private housing in a decent neighborhood
3 - Shared familial estate, small private home in a wealthy neighborhood
4 - Larger home in a wealthy neighborhood
5+ - Personal estate of increasing extravagance
