Subtle Casting

With the laws against magic within Medinaat al-Salaam those sahir, and other bearers of magic, who remain have learned to call on their magic rarely, only in times of great need, and with great subtlety.
To successfully cast a spell subtly the caster must, in addition to the casting roll, succeed at a Stealth/Awareness roll with a TN of 5+5x the mastery level of the spell. This may also be an opposed roll if anyone is intentionally trying to discern the casting - in which case the caster must beat both the subtlety TN and the opposing Spellcraft/Perception roll.
If the subtlety roll fails while the casting roll succeeds the spell is still successfully cast but the caster is revealed if there are any observers.
A failed casting roll does not hide the fact that a spell was attempted and the subtlety roll will still determine if the caster is at risk of observers knowing what they attempted.
A successful subtlety roll does not obscure the actual effects of the spell cast, if any, it simply prevents the caster from being discerned as the source.
The Silent advantage applies to subtlety rolls.
Meishodo shugenja gain a free raise on their subtlety roll as their magic does not require a wide range of movements or invocations.
Senpet sahir receive a bonus to their subtlety rolls equal to half their Lore: Theology skill ranks, rounded up, as they hide their casting within mundane prayers.
