Sahir who learn magic through Disciplines are not limited by Mastery system and can learn any spell at any insight rank as long as they learn them in order of the subgroup they belong to.

Ra'Shari Diviners may only learn Cokaloi of a Mastery equal to or lower than their School Rank. Diviners may learn additional Cokaloi by paying 6xMastery Level experience.

Sahir and Paths:
The first path taken by a Sahir is considered a rank in their school and they learn one additional spell unless the path specifies otherwise. Additional paths do not count as part of their school nor do they grant spells unless they specify otherwise. The following exceptions apply:

Jackal Necromancers do not learn spells when taking non-Jackal paths. Necromancers taking Seeker of Truth learn 1 level from Ghul Creation or Death.

Ra'Shari Diviners learn two Cokaloi when taking the Ra'shari Charm Maker path but only one Cokaloi when taking other paths as above.

Meishodo Shugenja may start with one rank 1 Talisman at game start.

Meishodo and Path to Inner Peace:
When activated the talisman heals XkY-10 (minimum 1) with X being the Water and School Rank of the talisman creator at the time of its creation and Y being their Water rank at that time. If your school rank or Water ring go up you would need to craft a new talisman to take advantage of the higher stats. Similarly, if another Meishodo Shugenja were to use your talisman they would roll with your stats at the time of creation even if their own stats are higher.
