Just to head off any roleplaying/metagaming concerns Assassins who participate in the daytime No One's Safe are not outing themselves as Assassins in character - hence the rolls being phrased as posturing as trying to help while actually sabotaging (or being outside away from the other PCs).

I realized Assassin players could intentionally nuke the event by RAW by calling a bunch of raises and keeping low and almost certainly autogenerating Assassin points.

So this lets them do the in-character equivalent of that, because it is a realistic tactic, while keeping things mechanically fair and requiring they succeed in order to influence the outcome.

Just a reminder there are two different styles of cooperative rolls and most group events use both. Be sure to read each step carefully to avoid overextending yourself or needing retcon.
