[Day 5, EM, Ra'Shari Caravan] Morning Has Broken

[Soraya al-Menjari]

"I wouldn't have taken the dagger out if things weren't already escalated... And yeah; I've had someone teaching me exactly that, how to get out of people's holds and grips. Still, my issue is I'm ALSO not that fast of a runner..."

The princess pouted... and took another sip of coffee.

[Kezia]

I just mean that it's a poor thing to trust for security if you're not prepared to use it."

Sip.

"As far as a running... you needn't go too far, I think. A Dahabi Princess in this city? If you're anywhere but the seedier parts of town, you can probably count on a bit of legal protection."

Something Kezia had never, ever benefited from.

"I suppose you're right. It feels unlikely I'll be in the Maze on my any time soon or such."

Sora took a seat, stretching her legs out under her robe.

"Hoy about you? How have you been Miss Kezia?"

[Kezia]

"Well, apart from getting shot twice yesterday and proving to one and all that whatever my talents, archery isn't the greatest of them, it's been good."

She lowered her volume- and her tone,

"And Rufus is... quite athletic, even with his own injuries, so that's been fun."

[Soraya al-Menjari]

"Oh!"

She lowered her voice too and leaned in conspiratorially, "Oh, have you been training and exercising together then? I bet that's been intense."

[Kezia]

"Well, it's definitely been exercise, but the only training has been figuring each other out a bit..."

She grinned.

"But it has definitely been intense."

[Soraya al-Menjari]

"Well, I suppose it's one step at a time. I'm sure you'll get around to actual training some time or another. And the cultural differences will melt away and it'll become less intense and you can just have a good time!"

[Kezia]

"Oh, we're having a pretty good time as-is."

Kezia's grin didn't flicker.

She can't be that clueless. Not with the time she spent in Raya's wagon- with AND without Raya being there!

"It's not a business relationship, after all."

Her head tilted a little, and a blush slowly crept up the princess's face like a boiled lobster. She leaned in a little, "Y-You mean that was a euphemism? Miss K-Kezia!"

She sat up and cleared her throat, still quite pink, "You don't have to be so circumspect with me, b-but I appreciate if you wish to be, I suppose... It IS good your cultural exchange is so enjoyable though, either way..."

[Kezia]

"Oh, I'm not not being circumspect because I think I have to be, it's just fun."

She stretched a bit.

"Much like a enthusiastic session of lovemaking with an intensely fit young man with exotic good looks."

She tilted her head slightly at the other woman's apparent embarrassment.

"I mean, you appear to have been enjoying yourself of late, too... hard to keep secrets in a caravan like this. Well. Hard to keep secrets from the people who live in it, anyway."
