Free food and the winner being announced. It sounded like a good time to Tarset. She made her way up to a table of stuffed olives and popped a few into her mouth, looking around at the crowds.

Kezia hadn't boasted when the tournament had begun, and she damned sure wasn't going to boast now- especially not after that miserable final shot of hers.

So she tucked into the goodies on offer instead.

For once, outside of an actual archery contest, Soraya was out in her more usual style of clothing, rich sheer clothes in the blue of House Menjari.

She was not all that interested in the food; It seemed standard fair, nothing special. And she wasn't all that hungry. But seeing a chance to have so many people there, a opportunity to mingle with people with her father's permission even... she was on cloud nine. And her energy was infectious, the princess greeting people and so forth as she went about the party.

A celebration and an opportunity to hear himself speak while also gaining some small amount of acclaim. You better believe Qasim was there and dressed to impress in the finest Senpet cotton garments he owned, usually for parties he chose silk but he hoped tonight would be lively and opted for something a bit more breathable. His rich purple clothing edged in gold was certainly eye catching none the less and where he walked he carried a subtle scent of cinnamon and cardamom.

Faruq knew he wouldn't be one of the best archers from the very start, and he honestly was neither a particularly gifted orator nor cared too much about making whoever the winner was (or himself, for that matter) even more well-known due to placing well in an event like this - especially after the bloody spectacle that had been today's competition.

But he would be there at least. To hear what was said, see what was done...

... and, well, there was free food.

Still unwilling to tempt the attention of fate by openly bragging about anything...particularly punching arrows into a khadi...Lamis arrived at the ceremony with her cloak covering bandages, which in turn covered the worst of the stains on her only decent set of clothing for the city. Damned if she was scrambling to buy new clothing just for this.

She will, however, take advantage of the feast before the journey home. Wine for blood loss, right? Because it's similar looking. And sticky sweets because that was the sort of treat one gave small children who'd had a hard day. She wasn't a child, but she was going to count this as a slightly hard day.

After a speech thant ranged for terribly stupid idea to extremely stupid idea, but did manage to shift his mood from "depressed" to "afraid" (a disputable progress), Al-Haddar took advantage of the free food. He wasn't selling pistachios for once, because the free food was just too much of an unfair competition, but one meal saved was about as good as one meal earned.

Having been going around and talking to people, Sora spotted someone she didn't recognize, "Oh, good evening Si. Are you enjoying the festivities?"

The man seemed to be enjoying the food at least... though he would notice the woman greeting him had nothing but a goblet of wine with her.
