Bazir smiled without malice

''There is never a dull day in the Jewel...but having a café allows me the opportunity to meet very interesting people.''

"And I suppose they share some very interesting things with you, having been served excellent coffee." Aydi smirked, then took a sip. "Mmmmm."

''Depends on what you think is interesting, sidi'' he raised a hand to his heart ''People come here to relax and enjoy the moment, not be prodded by the shop owner even if we manage to strike a pleasant conversation.''

"Fair enough. So, has the archery competition been good for your business?"

He could not help but chuckle

''Not at all. The regulars still come but the free food offered is not good for business'' he sighed ''Nothing dramatic but I would wager that the street food vendors are taking it worst''

"But it's just a few days. A good time to accept the costs and take it as an advertising opportunity, no?" Aydi chuckled too, enjoying the coffee.

Bazir's smile change...somehow

''I am sure you are right sidi, I am sure the Khadi's benevolence will benefit us all in the end...I trust you affairs have not been hurt by the festival?''

"In my line of work, the more trouble the more things to do." He smiled sadly as for a moment he thought that he seemed to be benefiting from said 'benevolence'.

''Good for you sidi, business is business as they say...that said do you wish for something else?''

"No, not in particular, Sidi." Was it a sign that he should finish his coffee soon as they were closing? Probably. He took a vigorous sip.
