Rufus lets out a deep laugh, the trace of seriousness before gone.

"Are you kicking me out Kezia?" He smiles gently. "You're fun, and beautiful, and this...this is nice. But we both have our own things. I have no claim on you, and it wouldn't be fair to either of us to leave each other waiting when we move on. You have your caravan. I need to report back what I've found. It's just that I have no issue making the most of the time of a good thing."

[Kezia]

"Oh, hardly. As you note... this is nice. I'm just glad you're realistic about the lack of long-term prospects..."

She chuckled.

"Although if we keep up at this rate, you might run into a little red-headed Ra'Shari somewhere down the line..."

"If there is one export of Hanif culture I appreciate, it's...how do I say it: a certain pragmatism of personal relationships. You ask a man to travel to a far away land, no one is going to scold you for taking a lover outside of marriage. I was more worried about what your people would think." Rufus runs his fingers through Kezia's hair and tugs her in for a kiss.

"Are you worried enough to stop?"
