She took a gingerly bite of the fruit. "Well, he has his ways." She giggled. "He seems like a nice person."

''I believe he is a good man'' he said approvingly ''Have you followed the archery contest?'' he asked of both women

[Meresanhk]

"The thought of myself joining has passed. I lack panache for it." Meresanhk admitted. "I prefer quieter settings, like this one."

[Soraya al-Menjari]

"I have been following it, though not too closely I'm afraid. It is all very exciting no doubt, but I find myself distracted by things happening elsewhere, more immediate things that don't feel so distant from life, you know?"

[Bazir]

Sora's comment initially came as quite odd to Bazir but perhaps some tragedy struck recently.

''Mmmh, yes, yes.'' he nodded ''I have kept up with the competition so far, if only to nose around. Finding out who's who, you know...''

[Soraya al-Menjari]

She thought about it and... these two seemed trustworthy.

"I am actually sponsoring an archer myself. I have been most happy with her performance; I am simply not all that worried about how others are doing though, so long as she is doing her best and getting what she wants out of the festivities."

[Bazir]

Well that made Bazir curious

''Are you now?'' he arched an eyebrow ''Did you just not say you haven't been following closely?''

[Soraya al-Menjari]

"That was my point; I am following the archer I have sponsored, but not really anyone else. I am not really all that interested how things go overall, or even if the woman I sponsored manages to place. This is more about giving someone the opportunity to participate who might now have had the opportunity to otherwise."

[Bazir]

He gave a nod ''I see, my apologies for the misunderstanding. Might I ask who you are sponsoring?''

[Meresanhk]

"That is interesting." She nodded. "Confidence in your Archer makes well deserved praise."
