The oldest residential quarter of the city has fallen far from grace over the centuries. Now it is home only to those who even The Maze will not take. The poorest of the poor, the most vile of criminals, lepers and the other diseased. Now called The Last Stop with grim humor by those who must dwell there and as a warning by those who have not yet sunk so low.
As to why it has fallen to this state some say it is simply the march of time while others whisper that the very ground itself is cursed. Plants do not grow, water turns foul, and ghosts and ghuls are spotted more and more often.
