Truthfully, Sora didn't realize the name had slipped out. Nor had she actually THOUGHT to ask Raya if she'd known anything more about the water-snake. She'd just assumed she knew nothing as well, just like herself. If she'd known more, surely she would have said something.
"I will... talk to my friend about the findings then, see if they spark anything."

She nodded a little before tucking the letter away in her dress.
"I do forget though... what do I owe you for your help? Surely with the time and resources you took to find all this out for me... I can hardly even imagine, Sidi Bazir."

He sighs
''Do no worry about payment sayyeda. I know you are a woman of wealth but I did not help for coin or favors'' he replies ''Kindness is a rare commodity these days because it is expensive and brings little profit...a sin in a city of merchants...but it is something needed nonetheless. If you wish to repay me then simply help someone else who needs it more.''
He smiled mirthlessly
''You will find plenty after the tragedies of the last few days.''

Sora inclined her head to Bazir.
"You are certainly not wrong about that; It is something the Festival here has made even more apparent than it already was. Still, knowing there are people like you and other kind souls I have met... I am not as worried about the people of the city as I might have been."
She looks down at her untouched cup of pistachio latte and notices she hasn't touched it, blushing a little before picking it up and sipping at the not-very-hot-anymore liquid. ...it was still very much to her tastes though and she sighed after sipping it.

She was genuinely curious, after all; It wasn't as if she'd tried it that way yet.
