Moving forward Qara squints across the room. The necromancer was just barely in range though that was well enough as she only had so much left to give. Drawing on the very last reserves of strength she once more summons earth to lash out at the vile man... clearly snapping and breaking bones though not quite ending his evil.

Her Jinn continues to stand guard against any unexpected threats. An unlikely occurrence but it was his contract.

Unable to focus on much but his extreme pain Bazir grasps the table he was studying to hold himself up.

Seeing the state of the necromancer barely clinging to consciousness Al-Haddar, trusting that those in front of him are greater targets, risks flinging a stone though it just barely misses the man.

The Yodotai continue their charge drawing just short of their foe.

Raya also continues her methodical advance.

No spells left for healing, and death fast approaching, the necromancer tries to stumble away but makes little headway.

(Crippled so two simple moves act as two free moves)

Asher continues to try and cut off the other avenue of escape, especially now that he moves much more swiftly than their target while Jadzia continues rushing at the man. Close enough to smell his terror though not yet able to strike.

Though it will likely not save him from the onslaught that approaches the necromancers retreat has put the cages between him and Nihira. She still tries for a shot, aiming between bars, but the lead bullet clangs off of metal.

Though he may not be as capable as some of his comrades when it came to the sling Faruq did have the clearest shot from his current position. Still the rock goes wide as he continues his advance.

Qara, out of offensive magics, begins to rush to the aid of the crippled Bazir - her Jinn following behind.

"Come, I can help you!"

Bazir, understanding enough about magic to know some requires touch, forces himself up onto the table to meet her.

Al-Haddar, following behind Nihira, also tries to fire through the cage bars though is no more successful.

The two Yodotai lower their shields and hurtle straight at the foul sorcerer.

With that final charge, much to the dismay of Jadzia who really wanted to squash the puny man, a blight upon the City of Stories was extinguished.

It was not the only darkness within the city, not by far, but it was still a victory that would be felt even by those who never heard its tale.

[Faruq Al-Farhan]

Covered in muck or not, Faruq was first and foremost a healer. So as long as the threat was done with, he moved in to tend to the wounds of those who might need tending - assuming all those who were hurt will let him help them.

He then turns his attention to the room. What was all this? Who was this person? Could there be others involved with this in some way?

There were so many unanswered questions here...

After she finished with healing of hte others, Qar astarted looking around, trying to make sense of everything in front of her.

Though she was only just learning the various magics of the Sands she does easily note that he was in the process of removing the hearts of the two bodies - gorilla and human - which is part of the ritual, well for humans, of creating a ghul. Nothing she knows of speaks to creating beasts of this nature.

It was also a little odd how swiftly he was able to cast spells compared to other sahir and priests she had encountered. It was not meishodo, that she's sure of, but it was as fast if not as consistent.

After spending some time looking at the necromancer's "laboratory" and his wicked experiments himself, Faruq approaches Qara, his keffiyeh still covering his face.

"I assume you're an al-Hazaad, laa, Sayyeda?" His look and eyes, and the fact that she saw him doing gestures that caused something to harm the Crocoghul, make it more or less clear why he's saying that.

Then, gesturing at.... everything. "... what do you think, Sayyeda?"

Glancing over at the other magic-caster, Qara smiled. "Qara al-Hazaad, sidi. Well...this is all disturbing. And fascinating. I haven't heard of animal ghuls, but then, I am quite new at this city."
